In every one of these six books, a child tells you what their own day is like — what's loud, what's stuck, what they wish you'd do differently. The diagnosis is never named in the story. It's on the last page, for the grown-up reading along.
They all take place in the same classroom, with the same six children. Read one, and you meet a person. Read all six, and a child discovers something bigger: everybody in that room has an inside.

The books cross over. Alma sits down beside Yara in book two — and in book five you find out what that cost her. Noah builds the fort with Emil in book one and talks about it in book four. Read separately they're six portraits. Read together they're one classroom.
